The rapid development of emerging technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT) and Edge Computing is reshaping digital ecosystems across Europe and globally. Ensuring alignment between innovation and interoperability requires robust, forward-looking standardisation strategies. StandICT.eu 2026 and the Alliance for IoT and Edge Computing Innovation (AIOTI) have been working in close synergy through the Technical Working Group on IoT and Edge to map and analyse the global standards landscape. This joint effort has resulted in the publication of two updated landscape reports for 2025, reflecting recent developments, gaps, and priorities. These reports serve as crucial reference tools for policymakers, researchers, standardisation professionals, SMEs and industry stakeholders looking to engage more effectively with the evolving ICT standards ecosystem.
Objectives
