Standardisation actions towards the safety of EU citizens on roads

My activity aimed to improve prevent injuries and fatalities on roads at ETSI TC ITS. I led the team that prepared  cooperative ITS standards for Vulnerable Road Users (VRU) awareness and protection on the roads, to improve the protection of pedestrian, bicyclist, motorcyclist and animals when travelling on roads. This standard is made of three parts: use cases, architecture and requirements, and VRU awareness service specification. My activities during this fellowship allowed me to revise the three parts of the standard (TS 103 300) to achieve finalization consistency between them. It alslo helped start the harmonization with the collaborative Perception Service standard, which is still ongoing.
